Giorgio Battistelli received a commission by the Fondazione Opera Campana dei Caduti di Rovereto (Trento) of a work for baritone and orchestra (with children choir ad libitum) Angeli , based on texts from the Old and the New Testaments and from the Koran. The work will be coupled with that of the winner of the International Composition Competition “Strumenti di Pace”, which is organized by the same foundation and of which Battistelli will act as president of the jury. The world premiere will take place on 6^th June in Rovereto, with Gustav Kuhn at the head of the Orchestra Haydn di Trento e Bolzano, Roberto Abbondanza, baritone.
