The world premiere of the opera I puritani by Vincenzo Bellini, based on the new critical edition edited by Fabrizio Della Seta, will take place on October 12th (additional performance on October 14th) in Bergamo at Teatro Donizetti. The opera will be performed by Bergamo Music Festival Gaetano Donizetti Choir and Orchestra under the baton of Marcello Rota; stage direction by Paolo Panizza, scenes by Michele Della Cioppa, costumes by Simona Morresi. The production is by Bergamo Music Festival and Teatro Verdi in Sassari.
