The National Classic Voice Award for the classic CD
The National Classic Voice Award for the classic CD, has been assigned to Victor de Sabata for the first appearance category and to Salvatore Sciarrino for the contemporary section.
The National Classic Voice Award for the classic CD, organized by the Classic Voice magazine, has been assigned to the Universal CD Mille e una notte by Victor de Sabata for the first appearance category. In this CD the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi is conducted by Francesco Maria Colombo. For the contemporary section the award has been assigned to the Kairos 3CD Box
devoted to Salvatore Sciarrino’s orchestra music, here performed by the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai conducted by Tito Ceccherini; other performers are Daniele Pollini, Mario Caroli, Francesco Dillon, Marco Rogliano and Moni Ovadia. The awards have been assigned by a Jury (made up by the critics of the most important Italian newspapers and by the collaborators of the magazine) who has taken into consideration all the CDs released and reviewed between May 2008 and May 2009 .
