Francesconi: Premieres at La Scala and Royal Opera House

Two important premieres are coming up for Luca Francesconi in June: First, Esa-Pekka Salonen will conduct the world premiere of the orchestra piece Dentro non ha tempo at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Kevin Puts EU Tour

This past summer and continuing through the fall, Kevin Puts' Contact will be performed on tour by Time for Three. The group will bring Contact to cities including Taipei (September 4), Columbus (September 14), Rochester (September 21-22), and Phoenix (October 18).

Joshua Bell will also lead the Academy of St Martin in the Fields on tour performing Puts' Earth in cities including Prague (September 21), Zurich (September 23), Basel (September 24), and Geneva (September 25).

Julia Wolfe World Premieres

June will see two world premieres for Julia Wolfe. unEarth will premiere on June 1 at David Geffen Hall with Jaap van Zweden and the New York Philharmonic (lead commissioner), featuring Soprano Else Torp. Pretty (commissioned by the Berlin Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, and St. Louis Symphony) will premiere on June 8 with Kirill Petrenko and the Berlin Philharmonic.
