Max Richter and Wayne McGregpr's Woolf Works presented by ABT

Max Richter and Wayne McGregor's award-winning ballet triptych Woolf Works will receive its NY premiere on June 25th by the American Ballet Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera House. Inspired by Virginia Woolf's novels, letters, essays, and diaries, the ballet evokes the emotions, themes, and fluid style of the prolific writer. The production features design by Ciguë ("I now, I then"), We Not I (“Becomings”), and Wayne McGregor (“Tuesday”), and is staged by Amanda Eyles, Mikaela Polley, and Antoine Vereecken.

Woolf Works has received notable recognition and outstanding critical acclaim. The full-length contemporary ballet won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production, and McGregor was awarded the Critics Circle National Dance Award for Best Classical Choreography for the work.
