Bussotti: International Study Days

In coincidence with Maestro Bussotti’s 85th birthday,  a three-day conference session will be held in Rome from September 29 to October 1. The participants include scholars from a wide range of origins and disciplines.

After being launched in Palermo in November 2015, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Passion selon Sade (1965), the three-year travelling project about “The Theatres of Sylvano Bussotti” moves on to Roma-Genazzano in Autumn 2016. The conference sessions will start out at the Istituto Storico Germanico in Rome (1st session, 29th September), continue at the Università di Roma Tre (2nd and 3rd sessions, 30th September), and conclude with a full day at the Castello Colonna di Genazzano (1st October).

The participants include scholars from a wide range of origins and disciplines (Jürgen Maehder, Ivanka Stoianova, Daniela Tortora, Giovanni Guanti, Matteo Nanni, Adriana Guarnieri, Alessandro Mastropietro, Massimiliano Locanto, Patrizia Veroli, Claudio Strinati, Valentina Valentini, Giovanna Morelli, Giovanni D’Alò, Federica Marsico, and Stefania Bruno), musicians and interpreters of Bussotti’s music (Monica Benvenuti, Nicholas Isherwood, Toni Candeloro, Sandra Fuciarelli, Grazia Galante, and Alessia Toffanin), and a number of the historical protagonists of the Scuola Spettacolo di Genazzano (Mauro Castellano, Leonardo Gensini, Hidehiko Hinohara, Claudio Lugo, and Gustavo Malvezzi).
