Liza Lim received two 2017 Art Music Awards

Melbourne-based composer Liza Lim was awarded for her composition How Forests Think in the “Instrumental Work of the Year” and for her opera Tree of Codes in the “Vocal / Choral Work of the Year” category.



The Art Music Awards are staged jointly by the Australian copyright collective APRA AMCOS and the Australian Music Centre (AMC). It is the only national event in Australia to acknowledge the extraordinary achievements and creative successes of those who excel in contemporary art music, contemporary jazz and experimental music. The award ceremony took place on August 22, 2017 in Sydney.
