The premiere of Ali Askin’s children’s concert Peterchens Mondfahrt (Peter’s Journey to the Moon) took place on 18 March, 2018 at Munich’s Prinzregententheater. The elaborate concert with narration of Gerdt von Bassewitz’s classic children’s book delighted both young and old – narrated by Tatort star (Chief Inspector) Udo Wachtveitl. In co-operation with the Museum Villa Stuck, children of the Munich Weilerschule illustrated the beautiful story of Peter’s Journey to the Moon. Cartoonist Barbara Yelin turned the colorful images into a vivid visualization. Askin’s setting of the fanciful fairy-tale was performed by the Munich Chamber Orchestra under its principal conductor Clemens Schuldt.
