Max Richter has signed a long-term, global publishing deal with Decca Publishing. The new division of the Universal Music Group will work closely with the Universal Music Publishing Classical group. UMPC will represent all hire works world-wide. The first work for larger ensemble in the Decca Publishing catalog is Max Richter’s Exiles, which was premiered by the ballet company Nederlands Dans Theater in February 2017. Kristjan Järvi will give the German premiere of the work with the MDR Sinfonieorchester on June 11, 2017 in Leipzig, with a further performance on June 15 in Dresden.

As part of this cooperative venture, the London-based Decca Publishing will work with the UMPC publishing houses, Ricordi, Durand-Salabert-Eschig and Editio Musica Budapest, on appropriate projects and synchronization opportunities involving their composers and repertoire.
