The project aims to publish the critical editions of all Vivaldi’s instrumental works. Where necessary, the critical edition will also include variants (such as different movements of the same composition) derived from the manuscript tradition. With regard to the Editorial Criteria, it is proposed to introduce the changes approved by the Editorial Committee of the Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi with reference to the critical edition of Vivaldi dramatic music. It is also proposed not to include a realisation of the basso continuo for keyboard instrument in the main body of each edition, but to publish it in separate fascicles.
