Negrón: Upcoming World Premieres
April sees two world premieres for Angélica Negrón.
As the recipient of the Hermitage Greenfield Prize, Ensemble SRQ, in collaboration with the Hermitage Artists Retreat, will present the world premiere of
Azul Naranja Salado composed for a unique ensemble of low strings, harps, percussion and electronics. A site-specific work, this performance will take place at the grounds of The Hermitage Artist Retreat on Manasota Key on April 15.
Commissioned by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra as part of the Malko Competition, Negrón’s newest symphonic work
Campos Flotantes will receive its world premiere from the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and the final 6 contestants during round 3 of the competition on April 18.
