Casa Ricordi is deeply saddened by the loss of Isidora Žebeljan, one of the most outstanding and internationally acclaimed Serbian composers. She drew international attention with her opera Zora D. which was commissioned by the Genesis Foundation from London. It was premiered in Amsterdam in 2003, directed by David Pountney and Nicola Raab. Since then, she received commissions by prestigious ensembles, institutions and festivals, having her works been performed throughout Europe, the United States and Asia.

From her orchestra and chamber music works, The Song of a Traveller in the Night, for clarinet and string quartet, wanted by the Genesis Foundation, The Horses of Saint Mark, an illumination for orchestra commissioned by the Biennale di Venezia, The Minstrel's Dance composed for the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, premiered at the Wigmore Hall in London in 2005 and conducted by the composer herself, and among others Dance of Wooden Sticks and Polomka Quartet for the Brodsky Quartet. Isidora Žebeljan had been active as one of the most outstanding Serbian contemporary authors of music for theatre and film, with more than 40 productions.
