Das Stuttgarter ECLAT-Festival war in seiner 2023er Ausgabe mehr denn je ein Festival der Eigen- und Koproduktionen. Eine davon war Samir Odeh-Tamimis vielbeachtete Uraufführung von Philoktet, einem Kompositionsauftrag von Musik der Jahrhunderte, finanziert durch die Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung, geschrieben für die neuen Vocalsolisten Stuttgart und das Zafraan Ensemble.

Zwei Musiktheaterwerke uraufgeführt: die Oper Hiob nach dem gleichnamigen Roman von Joseph Roth, Auftragswerk des Stadttheaters Klagenfurt, sowie The Travel Agency is on Fire nach einem Text von William S. Burroughs präsentiert von soyuz21 – contemporary music ensemble zürich.
