The Austrian composer Georg Friedrich Haas, one of the most renowned composers of his generation and currently residing in the US, is attracting attention this summer not only at the Bavarian State Opera, whose Ja, Mai (Yes, May) festival has been dedicated to him, but also with a new orchestral work unveiled in Vienna by Marin Alsop.

Salvatore Sciarrino’s upcoming works are slated for publication by Casa Ricordi. They’ll be added to the composer’s already extensive catalogue of music published by Ricordi, which dates from 1969 to 2004.

The composer Vinko Globokar has received the 2022 German Music Authors’ Prize of GEMA, the German performing rights organization.
