Finnish Winter: Lim, Shin and Streich in Helsinki

Finnish Winter: Lim, Shin and Streich in Helsinki

Korean composer Donghoon Shin will see a premier with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra under Osmo Vänskä. At the same time, Musica Nova will present a number of works by Lisa Streich (another ricordilab laureate) with the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Tapiola Sinfonietta. Another focal point of the festival will be Australian composer Liza Lim, whose emphatic orchestral work on ecological irresponsibility – Extinction Events and Dawn Chorus – will be performed in Finland for the first time. All concerts will be streamed in accordance with Covid regulations.
