Great works cast a shadow ahead – which in this case, due to the pandemic, has become quite long: The Musikfest Berlin 2021 finally sees a number of long-awaited world premieres. The Ensemble Modern Orchestra opens the renowned Berlin festival with
A House of Call – a genre-bending, full-length orchestral work from Heiner Goebbels. The New York Philharmonic Orchestra has kindly given up its right to premiere Olga Neuwirth’s long-awaited orchestral work
Keyframes for a Hippogriff to the Berliner Philharmoniker, so that the piece may finally be heard. Having already been streamed, but now to be played before a “real” audience are Enno Poppe conducting his musical journey
Prozession with the Ensemble Musikfabrik, and
HIMMEL from ricordilab laureate Lisa Streich, with the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker and Matthias Pintscher.
