Poppe: Composer Portrait at Eight Bridges
Cologne's Eight Bridges Festival has selected Enno Poppe as its 2023 portrait composer. Between May 4 and 12, the renowned festival presents ten works by Poppe, including the full-evening pieces
Prozession (Ensemble Muskfabrik) and
Speicher (EnsembleKollektiv Berlin), an audiovisual installation featuring
Wald as well as two world premieres in one day:
Strom for François-Xavier Roth and his Gürzenich Orchestra and
Laub presented by Ensemble Recherche. In addition to Poppe, this year's festival programme also includes Ricordi composers Riccardo Nova, Fausto Romitelli, Samir Odeh-Tamimi and Francesca Verunelli.
