Fausto Romitelli: Spazio-Articolazione
Fausto Romitelli's
Spazio-Articolazione also had its French debut — the first performance after the work's world premiere 35 years ago and more than 20 years after Romitelli's death.
The early masterpiece, composed for strings in 1990 and probably first performed in Siena during his studies at the Accademia Chigiana with Franco Donatoni, has been rediscovered after Romitelli’s premature death in 2004 and remained unperformed until nowadays. On 9 February 2025,
Spazio-articolazione found its voice anew, with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France led by Matthias Pintscher offering a rare insight into the early creative journey of the Italian composer.
The concert will be streamed at
France Musique on 23 April.
