Cassandra, the first opera by Belgian composer Bernard Foccroulle commissioned by La Monnaie, combines the mythological figure of Cassandra with the contemporary character Sandra, a young activist fighting to protect the environment.

The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions saw its world premiere at the Manchester International Festival 2023. Following performances at the Bregenz Festival, Festival d'Aix en Provence and London's Southbank Centre, we can look forward to further performances at the Holland Festival, Ruhrtriennale and NYU Skirball.

For a year now, Ricordi Berlin has been working together with the three new ricordilab composers Hannah Kendall, Alex Paxton, and Diana Syrse, who have already celebrated great concert successes and important prizes. There are now further significant premieres on the horizon.

Mexican composer and current ricordilab winner Diana Syrse celebrates Mexico City in a new work for orchestra, in which she invites the audience on a sonic walk through the different neighbourhoods and specific sounds of this extraordinary cosmopolitan city.
