Battistelli: WP of LOT in Hannover - Reviews

Based on a story from the Book of Genesis, LOT, the latest opera by Giorgio Battistelli (with book by Jenny Erpenbeck), makes its world premiere at the Staatsoper Hannover on April 1. More performances will be staged there throughout the months of April and May. Orchestra and choir conducted by Mark Rohde. The opera is directed by Frank Hilbrich.

Vladimir Ashkenazy Conducts Antonioni

On March 27, at Genoa’s Teatro Carlo Felice, Maestro Vladimir Ashkenazy will be conducting I Solisti Aquilani in the world premiere of Francesco Antonioni’s Northern Lights, After the Thaw, for viola, clarinet and string orchestra. Featured soloists: Ada Meinich on viola, and Dmitri Ashkenazy on clarinet. A second performance will be held on March 28, at the Auditorium del Parco in L’Aquila.
